At the occasion of Olympic Day, which is celebrated around the globe on the 23rd of June, the city of Lausanne threw a big party for its 9-10 year old school kids at the Bellerive public pool, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, on the shores of Lake Geneva. A total of 1,200 kids got together for the occasion, with two reasons to celebrate: Olympic Day and the end of the school year.
Under the blazing sun, the students performed a choreography in five different groups which ended up in the formation of the five Olympic Rings. A great example of how the city of Lausanne - the Olympic Capital – promotes the Olympic Values that are at the core of the Youth Olympic Games which it will host in January 2020.
